Caring for women…
One primary focus of our practice is caring for a woman through her pregnancy and her baby’s birth. Dr. Hastetter will be an active partner in your pregnancy care by helping you develop an individualized birth plan to not only build confidence in your ability to give birth, but also to provide excellent medical care.
In order to make your pregnancy and delivery as comfortable and healthy as possible, we offer choices in childbirth preparation and care. Whether you are interested in natural childbirth or the use of anesthesia and everything in between, we are here to support you. For your convenience, fetal monitoring, state-of-the-art ultrasound services, and blood draw services are available in our office.
Dr. Hastetter will coordinate and monitor the care of expectant women. We provide care through pregnancy, during childbirth and up to six weeks following birth. In addition to birth support, services include family planning and education, nutritional counseling, and urine-pregnancy testing.
Delivery at The Women’s Hospital
Your pre-conception visit and pregnancy appointments traditionally take place in our office and then delivery at the Women’s Hospital where our physicians can monitor you through the entire process.
Throughout your pregnancy, routine tests will be performed. To make the process as simple as possible, all of these can be completed in our office.
In addition to uncomplicated pregnancies, we care for women with high-risk pregnancies, such as those with previous miscarriages and those pregnancies accompanied by medical complications. We are also proud to continue to offer vaginal births for patients who have previously had cesarean sections.
When it comes time for your delivery, we believe that the care and facilities at the Women’s Hospital are ideal. This center provides a comfortable setting with private rooms so that the place you have your baby is the place you remain-you will not be shuffled from one room to another. A well trained staff and 24-hour anesthesia services complete the picture.
